 Laura Perry-Educator

Laura Perry’s life's work has been guiding children in the joy of musical expression.  A graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, she majored in choral and general music education with minor studies in musical theater and counseling.  Laura began her career teaching elementary music in 1994 with a commitment to making music a positive force in each of her student’s lives.  For 9 years, she saw the excitement and fulfillment musicianship can bring and the power music has to enhance learning and encourage development in many other areas.  The birth of her first child led Laura to the discovery of Kindermusik.  She recognized the incredible benefits this early childhood music-based program could bring to her daughter’s life.  In 2003, Laura studied with Kindermusik International to become a licensed Kindermusik Educator so she could continue to lead children and their families toward a lifelong love of music.

Laura is married to Rich, a graphic designer and production artist for Balkamp Inc.  They both grew up in Indianapolis and now enjoy living in Brownsburg, Indiana, with their daughters, Elaina and Gwendolyn, where they are close to family and friends.

 Jean Diffenderfer-Educator

Jean Diffenderfer comes to us as a Kindermusik grandma! Although moving has been a part of her life, she has found ways to be involved with children and music every place she’s lived.  She’s worked with children’s choirs, taught private piano lessons, sung in choirs and small groups, taught Sunday School and VBS, and shared music with children while living in or visiting Belize, Nigeria, Portugal and Brazil.  However, once she started visiting Kindermusik classes with her grandchildren—and observed how fun, joy-filled and enriching they were--she decided to become a Kindermusik educator.  Jean now lives in Brownsburg with her husband, Tom, just around the corner from those three precious grandchildren, and is an assistant at Messiah Lutheran Preschool.   She loves to see children’s eyes light up when they’re involved with music—that look of delight is priceless!
